A committee has been constituted for proper implementation of Common Minimum Programme for qualitative improvement in Primary Section. The members of the committee are:

Developing Support System:
The resource room is fully equipped with the required support system.
* Issue of TLM and its optimal usage
* High speed digital copier-RISO
* Three computers with broadband connectivity
* LCD projector
* Overhead projector
* Colour TV with Dishnet connection
* DVD player
* CDs from Children’s Film Society of India
* DVDs from National Geographic
* White board with coloured markers
* Magnetic boards with alphabets and numbers
* Class Library boxes with 50+ books
* Hanging libraries in classes with children’s magazines
* Reference books and educational toys in Resource Centre
Developing monitoring and evaluation system
* Regular supervision of classroom teaching and follow –up including checking of children’s work
* Surprise checking of correction work
* Cluster level meetings of HM s and Principals is conducted every quarter.
Redesigning the time table to address the need of children friendly curriculum
* Block periods for activities and audio –visual programmes
* 2 teacher time table in classes I and II.
* 3 teacher timetable in classes III and IV.
* 4 teacher time table in class V
* AHPL is integrated in curricular subjects.
Programme for providing exposure to the children of primary classes with special emphasis on nurturing their talents
* Conducted CCA and Sports competitions
* Health check up done in first phase in September.
* Best performers given special prizes.
* Grandparents Day celebrated on 13 th September, 2009.
* Participated in 3 day Cluster level Bal Divas celebration
* A team of 37 children and 4 teachers visited KV Bambolim Camp from 13 -14 November 2009.
* Theme based community lunches are organized every month.
* Educational excursions planned for December 2009.
* Film shows are conducted with the help of CDs from Childrens’ Film Society twice a month.
* Publication of quarterly newsletter planned.
Creating an enabling environment for child inspired learning
* Teaching is wholly activity based.
* Rote learning eliminated .
* Notebooks and textbooks for classes I and II are kept in the classroom on week days. Burden of school bag reduced.
* Special care to improve Spoken English.
